#fatevsfreewill

The penultimate chapter of #oopt Dumbledore bares his soul, asks for forgiveness, and doesn't hide Harry from some confronting truths. Who's really responsible for the mess they're in? Most rational people could point a finger, but sometimes blame needs to be shared, responsibility divided up. A burden to bear for more than one person.

How much of Harry's experiences are #fatevsfreewill ? We know the prophecy could have been him or Neville, but since Voldemort didn't have all the information it became Harry. Will Harry learn from his impulsive behavior? Only time will tell. #hpchapteraday @Redjewel_7734

#hpchapteraday my heart breaks for Harry as Dumbledore reveals the prophecy. How must it feel in the battle of #fatevsfreewill to feel the path of your future has been taken out of your hands-that you must be murdered or murderer-to feel that your choices have become so small? We know this dichotomy broadens & becomes more complicated, but this moment on top of the loss of Sirius & his part in that must be devastating for Harry.

Redjewel_7734 Con't...& I have to ask myself what Dumbledore feels in #fatevsfreewill as he comes to terms with what his choices & freewill have cost Harry. I understand his choices, but that doesn't negate the fallout from them. I guess that's the big lesson-whether fate or freewill is the truth, all we can do is try to make the best choices we can for the moment we're in. 7y
