“It is hard to ride a bike without training wheels. You will learn when you are ready.“
This is a great graphic to introduce to kindergarteners or first graders. It teaches students to share with others, even their new toys. Students may even be able to make a personal connection to this if they are learning, or have learned, to ride a bike. It also displays to students that it is okay to accept your friends as they are. Children will enjoy the illustrations in this book, especially when Hedgehog knocks over Harry with his bike.
“Do You Like My Bike?“ by Norm Feuti is a graphica novel. This graphica or comic book would be appropriate for kindergarteners. It discusses Hedgehog getting a new bike, but Harry does not want to ride. The illustrations help portray that Hedgehog is riding too fast by having lines behind him to show his speed. It also displays a worried and anxious look on Harry's face showing that he is afraid that Hedgehog might hit him.

5✨Just read this to my youngest as a library selection. It is one of the cutest stories. Friends Horace and Hattie are the best of friends who find a caterpillar and see it turn into a butterfly. So they try to eat, sleep, and become beautiful too.
A pretty cute picturebook about making new friends. I liked the adorable art style, and liked how quickly the dog went along with the hedgehog's big imagination. #Picturebook #Dog
Got to meet my friend @the_wastrel yesterday for a play date with our kids and they read us this book. So cute. 🥁 🦔

1. 9/11 is the first major international event I remember (I was in hospital waiting for a pacemaker to be fitted, so pre-transplant). Princess Diana's death is the first local(ish)!
2. Bookshop, unfortunately for my bank account!
3. Have tagged one of the first children's book I can remember!

First real snowfall here today - which is crazy for my area of Canada. We also have a strict stay at home order right now so I can‘t go anywhere even if I wanted to. So as my friend @Hestapleton says “Stay at home + snow = books books books books.” I‘m pretty sure she‘s a genius ❄️😀
