So, this is actually film vs film ranting. But I've seen so many things really slating the film in comparison to A Quiet Place and also claiming it copied it. However, this book was written before A Quiet Place which, other than hiring an actual deaf actor, was pretty forgettable. There's no real back story, no real progression for me. I'm not saying The Silence is a masterpeice, but I do feel critics are over-harsh. #hiredeafactors
