1. I bought my daughter Carrie, I found it at a used bookstore. MY “knitting penpal” and I swapped books, buying one for ourselves also and they were the same! The Sweet Spot 🍭 we can have a book club!
2. I bought my husband a steak today. We got engaged on Galentine‘s day before it was a holiday in 1993.

Junie B. Jones #24: BOO...and I MEAN It! | Barbara Park

so-so

So this one is kind of funny, however there are two things I don‘t like. As an educator, Junie is not believable as a first grader. The things she writes/says would be more believable for a advanced second grader or an average third grader. The other thing I don‘t like is her disrespectfulness, not only to teachers/parents, but even to her peers. These are my pet peeves though. #teamslaughter

megnews My oldest was about the age for these when they came out. I much preferred Ramona but didn‘t want to ban her from these so we just made sure to talk about Junie B‘s over the top comments. 3y

marleed I thrifted the entire 28-book collection for great nieces this summer. I worked from a checklist and found my last 2 missing books on the last day of summer. I don‘t know which was more fun the hunt or sending them off to my niece for her 2 little girls. I introduced my niece to Junie B over 20 years ago, those books long gone so it was great to do the same for her little girls. 3y

LibrarianRyan Love this series. When I lived in Denver I lived next door to this place called The bookies. I thought it was OTB. Until one morning I woke up to 100s of screaming kids. The noise when the Stupid smelly bus pulled up was deafening. At this time I was like hihhh?? 3 months later I was a children‘s librarian and fully schooled. Read every book. It‘s too bad there won‘t be more. 3y

#20Series20Days Day 12: Junie B Jones

Junie B Jones was my son's favorite series when he was in elementary school. He loved how she said the quiet things out loud and did the things he knew he shouldn't do himself but wondered what would happen if he might. Well, that's why I loved her anyway. In any case reading these together with him gave me memories no author can write, for which the series will always be a favorite.
