“Kindergarten is where you go to meet new friends and not watch TV.”
This is a great book to read to young children and also good to keep in a classroom library for older kids to read independently.
Junior B. Jones is a great book series that young children all over love. The vocab is hilarious and brings out the emotions out of young children.
#20Series20Days Day 12: Junie B Jones
Junie B Jones was my son's favorite series when he was in elementary school. He loved how she said the quiet things out loud and did the things he knew he shouldn't do himself but wondered what would happen if he might. Well, that's why I loved her anyway. In any case reading these together with him gave me memories no author can write, for which the series will always be a favorite.

Someone has figured out that I'll let him stay up past his bedtime if it's because he wants me to read to him...

Reading this RF novel gave me so much nostalgia because I used to read the series! It‘s about a Junie B. Jones, a kindergartner who doesn‘t want to ride the school bus the first day! This book should be used for IR. One UDL and EL strategy is 3.1, activate or supply background knowledge, and 16, integrate speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. Hello I‘m Freddie and I am reading Junie B Jones “and the stupid smelly Bus” My favorite color is purple and excited to be in the book club
“Frowning is when your eyebrows look grumpy.“
I would use this book in my future classroom because children would engage with the sassy character that is their own age, and going through struggles that they may relate to also.
This book was a great Realistic Fiction for younger ages. This is because it portrays real-life events of today's children such as traveling on the bus, first days of school, and SASS. Also, the book helps children enlarge their personal points of view by characters in the book guiding Junie B to reason.
Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus is a RF novel written by Barbara Park and illustrated by Denise Brunkus. This novel is the first of the Junie B. Jones series and it tells the story about a kindergarten girl who is terrified to take the school bus to and from school. Junie B. does everything to avoid taking the bus, but eventually she learns to keep an open mind about it. This book would be perfect for a LC or PR, (cont.) #ucflae3414su19
“Then she put her purse on the place where I was going to sit. And so I made a face at her.”
I loved Junie B Jones books as a kid and it definitely got me hooked on reading. I‘m sure kids still love it and it will be a staple in my future classroom.
This book is relatable to other children her age. The language is funny and entertaining. The plot is familiar and funny to readers. The series gets people hooked.
Junie B. Jones is written but Barbara Park and illustrated by Denis Brunei‘s. Junie B. Jones has just started kindergarten and to say she doesn‘t like the bus would be an understatement. This book is an RF chapter book. I think this book would be a good choice for students grades 1-3 in a LC setting . #Lae3414sp19
I‘ve only read 54 out of my goal of 80 “grownup” books this year, but I‘m incredibly proud that I‘ve read over 20 chapter books with my four year old since June. We‘ve enjoyed Roald Dahl and My Father‘s Dragon, but the family favorite this far is the Junie B. Jones series.
A 90s version of Ramona, Junie B. is starting kindergarten and is scared to ride the bus. She tries to avoid it at all costs. I found this book much less endearing than the Ramona books and the children meaner than necessary. Meh. Won‘t be continuing with this series.
Junie B Jones by Barbara Park is a realistic fiction series about a young girl (Junie) going through different stages in her life that you get to be a part of. The challenges and strides that this character experiences make for a great coming of age series to young readers. This series has won the New York Times best seller award and would be best used for independent readings in a classroom or literature circles.
#HopIntoSpring #BelovedChildrensBook: I loved Junie B. Jones so much. I remember devouring all her books - for some reason I didn't like them as much when she started the first grade! I'm saving all my copies if I ever have children of my own!
Barbara Park wrote an impressive collection.

Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus is a RF novel about her first day of kindergarten. It is a funny and light hearted book about the struggles she has throughout the day.She is nervous for her first day because she doesn‘t know anyone and doesn‘t want to take the stupid smelly bus. She rides the bus to school, but does everything she can to avoid riding home on it. Throughout the day she makes some new friends and gets into a little trouble.
This is a funny novel about Junie B Jones going to Kindergarten and is terrified to ride the stinky bus with a bunch of meanies. When it‘s time for her to go home after her first day of Kindergarten she decides not to take the bus. Being Junie B Jones, she is very mischievous. This is a book I would use as IR since it‘s an easy read and it‘s RF. UDL 3.1 activate or supply prior knowledge and EL 3 encourage positive self talk. This is good
Guess what? This RF, New York Times Bestseller is great for IR or GR for grades k-5. 'Cause it's an easy read for older students and a great transitional chapter book for younger students. That's why! In Junie B.'s first adventure she hates the bus, experiences her first day of kindergarten, and causes quite a commotion at the end of the school day. Junie's outlook on life is humorous and fun for all ages!
This is what bring your kid to work day looks like at @penguinrandomhouse! I loved being Junie B!
Do you celebrate where you work? #juniebjones #pokylittlepuppy #tmnt #teamprh
This is the FIRST, original book in the series! Everybody gets first day of school jitters, and Junie B. Jones is no different. She gets her start on the first day of Kindergarten, but when it's time to leave, she doesn't get back on the bus! Does she make it home?! This easy fiction read will help you find out! #ucflae3414sp17 https://www.superteacherworksheets.com/m/?s=junie-b-jones.html 📚
Nothing like a children's book to lighten things up when you're reading heavy material. I'm new to this series, and can't understand why I we didn't read these in school. Published in 1992, I would have been the right target audience (8 yrs old).
#FunFridayPhoto I know it's not quite middle grade but it's Junie B! Who doesn't love Junie B., she's the best. I loved all these books. 📚 📚📚
It's Junie B.‘s first day of school and she‘s so scared of the school bus and the meanies on it that when it‘s time to go home, she doesn‘t.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5/5 stars
I grew up on Junie B. books growing up. I recommend this classic series to every child. Barbara Park was honestly my hero, and the entire series inspired me to keep journals/diaries when I was younger 😊
