To all that celebrate 🖤 Happy Kwanzaa
Wishing a Joyous Kwanzaa to any Littens celebrating this week!!
A sweet second chance/fake dating Hanukkah story. Also it‘s narrated by Andrew Eiden, one of my fave narrators. The female narrator is okay, not my fave as she‘s a little nasally.
Book 12 for #winterreadathon
Fake dating for #holidayromancebingo
This book is about all of the celebrations that happen during the winter time. It begins in the early years of Mesopotamia and follows all the way through. It talks about how winter was portrayed as dark and scary and the sun was wanted back. So in different countries they all celebrated different things to try and bring back the sun. This is a great book that includes all of the cultures and helps students learn about the unique celebrations.
Lights of Winter by Heather Conrad is a children's book about different kinds of celebrations that occur around the world in the winter. This book lists and explains numerous amounts of holidays, ceremonies, and celebrations around the world.
This book is a great read-aloud that represents all different kinds of holidays that students may not be familiar with.
Would definitely use in my classroom!
