Awful loosey goosey #Bookspin list! Lots of slots are free to interpretation. I am planning on enjoying this last month of reading and be prepared to enter 2023 ready to tackle challenges I have planned!

Well, #NovelNovember didn't go quite as planned. I DNF'd two books, not shown, and read two kids books. I finished“Righteous Prey“ last week.

I am reading a Harlequin romance-no idea what has gotten into me to pick this up but I am enjoying it. Definitely outside of my typical reading!

Up next (hopefully) this week is “A Blizzard of Polar Bears.“ I've read almost half before it had to go back earlier in the year so I'm hoping to finish this.

Another solid outing with Davenport and Flowers. There isn't really much to say at this point-if you've been following Lucas' career this will definitely make you happy.

Finished the tagged book last week.

About 60% done with “Righteous Prey“ and should have that done by or on Thanksgiving.

I don't have listed here, but I do have about 4 small Christmas books I want to get through and then start “A Blizzard of Polar Bears“ on Sunday.

Well, 2022 can be summed up with Grateful Dead lyrics!

I went several months without reading this year & I'm behind on most of my reading challenges. For #Booked2022 I would need to read 10 books to finish out-there's 6 weeks and I read one book a week. I'm also behind on Bingo and #Roll100.

Yesterday, I decided enough was enough.

For the next 6 weeks, I'm reading what I want to read. Mostly mysteries and Christmas as we enter the holidays.

julesG That's a very good decision 2w

#NovelNovember kicks off tomorrow! @Andrew65 has his monthly readathon set and I am in.

I have my book I just started and four smaller Christmas books to read before the end of next weekend. It's never too early for Christmas books!

A solid but ultimately forgettable entry into this series. I'm really enjoy Lucas Page's mind and will follow up with the next entry.

I will say, I kept thinking to myself that I had seen this premise on a TV show at one time. I still don't know what TV show but it was similar up to the end of the book to that TV episode.

So here's December's #Roll100. I shoot for one book a month out of the three picks...December's read will be the Judy Blume book.

I did read “Are You There“ when I was a kid but somehow ended up with a physical copy. It'll be nice to get it read and sent to the used bookstore.

“Brave New World“ is too heavy for end of the year. Dec. is for fluffy reads.

“Huckleberry Finn“ needs to be read after “Tom Sawyer“ as it's a sequel.

I finished “Purgatory Ridge“ on Friday.

Saturday, I sat and read four kids picture books. My fave was “The Legend of the Christmas Wish.“ Sunday I ready “Beast Keeper“ and thoroughly enjoyed this story of Greek Gods.

I am finishing up “Black Beauty“ hopefully today. And today's lunch selection is to start “Do No Harm.“

A solid entry into the series but just wasn't my fave.

I actually saw the ending coming and that rarely happens. Overall, it is just a solid entry but nothing to write home about.

I am going to continue with this series and can't wait to see what Cork gets up to next!

Also, yes there's already Christmas books on the list-life's too short for just one month of Christmas!

It was a great week! I read three books-a book, a novella, and a short story/Kindle Single.

I desperately need a palate cleanser and choose the next Cork O'Connor book. Then, if I have time before Halloween, it'll be “October Country.“ If not, then I'll delve into “Black Beauty“ on Kindle.

Interesting #Roll100 selection...two Revolutionary War/Era books and a book about creativity with monastic wisdom.

I tried to read at least one of these and I think, just due to size and ease of reading it's going to be “American Heroes“ although I have pulled all three and we'll see what happens.

Not a bad week of reading.

#DeweyOct was a bit of bust for me. Between work and a family visit in the evening I didn't get much read.

I read “Children of the Corn“ for #Booked2022.

“American Cozy“ was not for me and was sent back to the library.

I've already reviewed “Hell House“-that was my read during the week.

The only book I didn't get to was the Bradbury. Maybe I'll get that read this week.

This was an amazing novella that packed so much punch into 185 pages. Recommend this one, especially if you're looking to add just one more book to your Halloween horror reads.

This has been in production for a TV series since 2020 and fits that prompt in #Booked2022 @alisiakae @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage

So excited for tomorrow! #DeweyOct kicks off at 7 am CST!

I do have to work, so I have chosen four horror novellas to read. I'm hoping to get one read at work and then get at least another one read that evening. I won't make it the whole 24 hours but we'll see how far I get.

I have physically thrown one book across the room to hear the thud as it hits the wall. If I wasn't at work, this would be the second book I chuck across the room.

Dear sweet Bloody Mary, what the world did I just read?? This was the biggest pile of steaming manure I've forced myself to read in a long time.

I know I'm in the minority with my opinion of this book. I just found a book that isn't my cup of tea.

You would think go on vacay means I'll get some reading done. Unfortunately, I never do. I read more at work on my lunch break than I do on vacay!

“Hell House“ should be done this week and I'm hoping to get several pages into “October Country“ this weekend.

I'm also hoping to finish a book called “American Cozy“ for #OutstandingOctober Readathon. It's an ambitious week of reading!

This was a cute book featuring a fall pumpkin patch. I've heard the book referred to as charming and that's exactly what it is.

However, I don't see myself rereading this next fall. It was good but life is short and I'm picky about what I pick up again.

This is also the 35th book of the year and my Goodreads goal has been reached!

It was an interesting week. Finished a middle grade book and DNF'd another middle school book. I flipped through a book on cottagecore but decided it wasn't for me. I reshelved “Other Birds“ for later.

So, with me being on vacay this week I have plans to finish the two books listed. “Pumpkinheads“ will keep me entertained at work today. “Hell House“ will kick off my week off on Monday.

I just can't finish this book...I've been poking at it all morning but find myself finding something else to do instead of reading. I've done laundry, dishes, and watched a college football game.

I've decided to let it go. It reminded me of Lemony Snicket in some ways-another middle grade book I couldn't finish.

I've got a stack of books I'm excited to read and decided not to push through this one.

This week, I have to finish “Hell and Back“ as it's overdue at the library.

I also got in “Other Birds“ which also has holds and will be my next read. If I can get these finished this week, I'll be a happy camper.
