pick#lastRead2025 I was glad to be back in Irving‘s world . Even though it‘s a follow up of sorts to Cider House Rules , enough is explained in this book that you wouldn‘t have to read Cider first . His books are character driven , not plot driven. Some of his common themes reappear, wrestlers, Vienna , chosen family, absent fathers. If you haven‘t read him , I‘d say try his classics ,World According To Garp or A Prayer For Owen Meany.
