panEh, this was a big disappointment for me. The author took a very complex medical issue and made it black and white. I wasn't able to feel any emotional connection to the characters despite the devastating subject matter. #netgalley #myfinalbreath
aperfectmjk I had that problem with one of her books. I think it had to do with the way it was narrated, It was written in the third person verses the first person which really prevents you from connecting. Is that how this one was written? 4y
pareads It was written in first person, but the narrator was a 12-yo girl and she said things that were way too mature for a 12-yo and it was odd. I think I had a hard time connecting with the story because of that, and the writing was just ok in my opinion 4y
