In 1941, 1/2 the residents of Jedwabne, Poland murdered the other 1/2. 1600 Jews (all but 7 in the town) died that day. Gross examines what happened that day using eyewitness accounts and historical documents. Extremely relevant to social issues today and a great choice for a book group that wants to tackle complicated issues. Good start for #nonfictionNovember2017

JaclynW This sounds like something one of book clubs would like. 6y

I just finished uploading my #NonfictionNovember2017 TBR to Booktube, so I figured I‘d better come post on Litsy too! I had 7 books on my video but added 2 more after filming. If I don‘t finish them all this month, I‘ll just push them to December. I‘m a year-round nonfiction reader and lover! I love #NonfictionNovember because I get to see so many new nonfiction books that I‘ve never heard of before!

The other day I referenced this book in one of Mr. Book‘s questions of the day and when I looked at its page, I was shocked there was no posts about it. Is it possible Litsy has not heard of this great book? It‘s about Elizabeth, Sophia, and Mary Peabody, three sisters who were active in the Transcendentalism movement and who were passionate about ensuring education for all. Highly recommend! Would be a great pick for #NonfictionNovember2017 too.
