I became hooked on the history of labor unions in the US during junior year, when I had a “radical” social studies teacher that did a unit on labor unions. (I was also #unionproud as a NYC school teacher.) So, I am really digging the background info in the first chapter on labor unions, communism, etc.
The_Real_Nani I‘m also wondering if I might be the only 40 year old that knows who Ronnie Gilbert is. I only know who she was because of an album she did with Holly Near. I had no idea she was a member of The Weavers, with Pete Seeger. 5y
