Pickpick

An Orwellian novel dealing with state surveillance and a book that ponders how memories and sense of self are interrelated. I veered between seeing parallels to WWII...jack-booted gestapo agents “disappearing” parts of the population while those who are different seek refuge in safe houses/rooms...and thinking about the lived experience of Alzheimer‘s patients who slowly lose connections to things, loved ones and eventually themselves.
