The Lathe Of Heaven: A Novel | Ursula K. Le Guin
Pickpick

This book is AMAZING! One of the best books I‘ve read in a really long time! It‘s a relatively short read, with only 11 chapters and a little 150 pages, but amazing non-the-less. It speaks volumes on society‘s problems and issues of “today” (granted this was written decades ago but still very relevant) and the concept (changing reality through dreams) leaves the possibilities endless for more content. Short read but an absolute must! Read over 3x

It took A LOT to finish the book. I wanted to bail about a third into it. The heroine wasn‘t very likable (or relatable) and her father was even worse. This is one of those rare instances where I can say the MOVIE was better than the book. They made a lot of changes so it almost seemed like a different story at parts, but especially the ending. Drastically different. I will say the direction the movie took was a wise decision compared to the book

This book was actually quite boring and if it wasn‘t for the brief appearance of Susan, you could hardly tell it was a Narnia book. I could hardly care about the Shasta character at all, and really the only part I really liked was where Aslan kept him from falling off a cliff by breathing on his shoulder.
