panIt took A LOT to finish the book. I wanted to bail about a third into it. The heroine wasn‘t very likable (or relatable) and her father was even worse. This is one of those rare instances where I can say the MOVIE was better than the book. They made a lot of changes so it almost seemed like a different story at parts, but especially the ending. Drastically different. I will say the direction the movie took was a wise decision compared to the book
