Pickpick

Really enjoyed this one! It‘s a very original take on the zombie genre, and really forces you to think morally and philosophically about the ramifications of the events. Manages to maintain a cinematic feel throughout, though. Overall 4/5, would definitely recommend!

Bone China | Laura Purcell

Just over 100 pages into #BoneChina by #LauraPurcell now! Not usually a fan of #HistoricalFiction, but this #Gothic novel is really doing it for me. Plus I‘m loving the queer undertones. This is a great read for a dreary day, y‘all!

The Perfect Child | Lucinda Berry

Mehso-so

A family that can‘t have children becomes attached to and adopts child who turns out to be a bit of a psychopath. The book is interesting and dramatic, but I can‘t help but feel that it was bogged down by the character of Christopher. His unwillingness to see the flaws of the child, Janie, borders on unbelievable, and throughout the book you get undercurrents of misogyny from him. That being said, it‘s otherwise well written and entertaining!
