My first time reading this classic and it did not disappoint! Some twists and turns had me actually gasping or yelling “no!” out loud. I got a little bored when I had to read parts of the protagonist‘s novel and it took a bit for me to really get into the book, but the parts with Paul and Annie were captivating and I couldn‘t put the book down in the second half.

Erinsuereads I just read thus one too! I loved it! 3y

This was my second book of the summer and it was honestly such a lovely read. I spent my weekends on the patio soaking up the sun reading this book - it felt like heaven! The storytelling is captivating, the characters are so interesting, and the dynamics of different relationships are described so perfectly. I can‘t describe this book further than saying it was just a pleasure to read.

Wonderful read! This book goes back and forth between Da Vinci‘s time and WWII. No cliffhangers or plot lines that make you unable to put it down, but it‘s awakened in me a newfound interest in and appreciation for art and art history. All I want to do is spend a Saturday at a museum enjoying paintings thanks to this book!
