I'm so glad I chose this book at my library. The synopsis implied it may have been a sci-fi book, which generally speaking isn't for me. Instead this a hear warming story about a girl who needed to start a new life and did it on her own terms.

I really enjoyed this book, especially toward the second half. I was a little concerned that it was going to be a hokey love story, which it was, but the beginning had me thinking it was closer to a Carolyn Brown story rather than a Kristen Hannah novel.
