This one hurts, I wanted to like it SO BADLY. But I've been stuck at a third of the way through and I can't go any further because the characters keep making me angry. Maybe I'll pick it up again sometime, but I haven't read with my eyes in weeks because I've been dreading being let down by the characters I loved so much.

So imagine if the entire world was controlled by a computer program, and you found and could manipulate that program. This is a fun blend of sci-fi and fantasy (ok mostly fantasy) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also (based on my last two posts) Luke Daniels is an excellent narrator.

So I've mostly been listening to my books since my commute is nearly and hour a day. This series was fantastic, AU where in the early 80s, a mutation formed making people "Brilliant" in some way or another. A very Heroes feel, or X-men without the superhero thing.

Entertaining high fantasy that isn't bogged down with too much stuff.
