The Secret History was an exceptional read. I started this with great hope. Lots of people were raving about it, and I have enjoyed Tartt's writing. I found this about 200 pages too long. I found I didn't connect with the main character well. I felt sympathy, not empathy.

This book held me captive in the best way from beginning to end.

Reading this book a second time and struck again by the wonderful sense of respect for all religions and honor for Xianity.
