Between Shades of Gray | Ruta Sepetys

A quick read. I literally don‘t know that I‘ve ever heard of this tragedy before reading this historical fiction novel. It was really interesting and so heartbreaking! It has now sparked my interest and I will be looking for more books about this!

Ask Again, Yes: A Novel | Mary Beth Keane

Different from what I usually tend to read. Great book about two families deeply intertwined with mental illness and alcoholism themes. Ended as I would have hoped but somehow seemed anti- climatic. Great read tho.

Thought I had figured it out but nope. Also, interesting twist at the end. I enjoyed this read.

This is so different from anything I usually read. Took me a while to get into the book but I ended up really liking it a lot. Would love to see a sequel.

Well you have to read a book when it was voted best book of the century. I listened to this one on audible and the narration was fantastic!! Great read! I did not expect the twists!

Don‘t read if vulgar bothers you. I could‘ve done without some of it but enjoyed the main storyline and sweet love story.

Apparently I‘ve really developed a thing for stories that flip-flop between time periods. Really enjoyed this read!

Nice and easy read. One thing I don‘t like is a very predictable story and for the most part this book delivered.

Really enjoying this WW2 era mystery. I seem to be drawn to books set in Europe in this era but I think I‘m going to take a break after this one. Not sure what to read next!

So good! Took a while to get into it and because I listened to this on audiobook instead of reading, it was easy to get confused but I found a character list online and that helped.

Quick, easy read and a bit predictable but a good story.

I had a very hard time staying focused on the book until the last third. At one point the mystery became quite clear and the story wrapped up pretty nicely. No huge surprises.

I loved this book! This book gave me so much to think about! What would you do if you found out your husbands secret?? Thanks to the author for a great epilogue that tied up the story nicely.

Such an interesting and well written story. Kept me interested. I was fascinated by her family and their disfunctionality. I really wanted more closure to the story but I realize this is still an ongoing story. Hopefully one day there will be a sequel!
