Having lived in SF for over 5 years, this book reminded me of the wonderful city I love. A plot twist and a fear tears shed, this was a quick read. A sweet love story between sisters, and a father and his girls.

Following three generations of women through their journeys and experiences in Communist China, it was a fascinating read. I really enjoyed the writing and thoughtful way she wrapped history and real life experiences. Would recommend!

A great book about some badass women throughout history who were steps away from the spot light. It's a handful of short, smartly written stories that made for a quick and easy read. Really enjoyed and would highly recommend! :-)

Whew. This book.. so heartbreakingly beautiful and strong. Loved and cried throughout it all but so worth it. A stunning and altering love story of sisters. Definitely of my favorite reads for a while.

I really enjoyed this book however it did give me the creeps a few times. The main character is a badass medical examiner who has to face and overcome her dark past to catch the killer. Looks like there are more in the series-looking forward to what else is to come.

This book was a plot twist and a half... made for an interesting and fast read. Character developments were good: sucked you in and made me feel empathy and disgust in one swoop. Geez, I hope these people don't actually exist. 😓
