3. Most read genres this year have been horror, historical fiction, and fantasy.

1.🎃I decorated for fall after deep cleaning my house.
2.🎂We celebrated my youngest sons 3rd birthday with a homemade cake we made.
3.💅I gave myself a celestial manicure.

5.🧡Spending quality time with my husband at the park.
My son really liked this one, and it was a little spooky to him since the artwork is very gothic. I enjoyed reading this to him tonight.
pickIt took me about half the book to really understand and enjoy this authors writing style but once I did just wow. I can see why she is so highly praised. I'll want to reread this in the future so I can truly enjoy the genius of this book.

so-soThis book wasn't awful, but it definitely has me questioning why Stephen King blurbed it, "scared the hell out of me, and I'm pretty hard to scare." I was hoping for that same feeling, but all I got out of this was a dysfunctional family with a mentally ill teen! There are questions left unanswered due to a possible possession, but I will say the ending with Marjories' last "game" made this go from a 2 star to a 3 star. She's a sneaky one.

This story was all over the place, and I just felt like nothing was really happening even though there would be climatic parts. Eventually, everything just fell flat and made no sense. Even though i highly anticipated this read, I would not recommend this book.

This book was breathtaking. I refuse to imagine Ying as a boy, so this attached photo is how I pictured her in all her badass, honorable, and genius glory!!!!! All aspects of this book were well thought out, and the conclusion tied up nicely for a possible duology, which I am crossing my fingers for. If you love Fantasy with a little sizzle of some slow burn romance, political warring, and all things machines, grab a copy!
