A beautiful, fairy tale-esque setting. I especially loved the diversity, using Indian based characters and mythology (with the Hades/Persephone influence). Sometimes frustrated with Maya, but loved her development and the angst between her and Amar. Kamala was my favorite character, snarky, brutally honest, but loyal and a demonic horse, cool! Looking forward to reading the next book "A Crown of Wishes."
