This was an incredibly strange book. But, now I have this recipe for pumpkin hot chocolate. So that's a plus. I can see where some have compared it to gone girl, but it does have that hint of magic. I would suggest this to those that liked Bone Gap and The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender. All three I would call magical realism.
