Hey everyone!
I think Harry Potter has been 1 of the greatest portkeys into fantasy literature for YAs, children, and people like me who may not have read much in their childhood. The world has some of the most charming characters out there, and Harry‘s adventures in Hogwarts just have that special... magic to it.
I would love to get some recommendations on other YA books that could spark the inner adventurer in me. Thank you for reading this lol.

Branwen The Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend, most definitely! Also Dealing With Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede! 3y
Bookwormjillk I second Nevermoor, also classics like Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe and A Wrinkle In Time. 3y
KyllianUvera Actually “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe” is another book I enjoyed quite a bit even though I am not religious. Lewis crafted a fascinating world while talking about something he is passionate about (bible). That to me is awesome. Spoiler for whoever did not read the book: I loved the moment where Lucy and Susan went on top of Arslan and he ran through the forest with them hanging unto his mane. It was beautiful (edited) 3y
LibrarianRyan Some oldies but Goodies - The Prydain Chronicles by Lloyd Alexander (aka The Black Cauldron (but that is book 2, book 1 is The Book of Three)). The Coming of Dragons by A.J. Lake. Inkheart by Funke, (or anything Funke). The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper (book one is Over sea under stone). And of course if you do not already have it on your list - The lightning Thief by Riordan. 3y
