Great NY book, got caught up in the hubris of it all. A bit too long and rambling at times but that all just added to the chaotic feel. Memorable characters, funny, scathing and honest.
Short, read it in the space of a few hours. Subtle profiling, doesn't overdescribe and leaves much unsaid. Not a 'classic' but gripping and brave in that she opens with the ending and doesn't need any twists to keep reader engaged
