Aaah!! Murder mysteries! I love them. And PD James does such a great job with not just the plot, but also the characterisation of all the players involved. So this one was a mix of the long dead past and the bit so recent past - all coming together in one interesting mystery.

Picked up a Gabriel Garcia after a long time and I was not sorry. Love is ageless, eternal - you are lucky to find it at least once in your lifetime. 👍👍👍👍.

I have loved most PG Wodehouse but this one was a disappointment. Funny to begin with, it became a bit of a drag after a point. So if you are a fan, you may want to skip it.

I read this book for my book club. So many aspects to this book to discuss. Individual freedom, status of women, abuse - the book was disliked as much as it was loved.

A very short read. I enjoyed it as it is so relatable even now , 70 years after having been written. Principles of greed and power stay the same, their prevalence even worse. Understandable all the way.

A light read , non fiction, set in the 1950s , the book is thoroughly enjoyable. Its an account of the Hollywood actress Olivia de Havilland settling in Paris with her husband and discovering France and all things french. Written in a light vein, the author displays wonderful capacity to laugh at herself. A great read to relax.

Loved the story of the african people, their lifestyles, their struggles and the influence of the colonisers.
