Out of a horrible Christmas comes real joy.

A story that sounds true, about real people, narrow minded and truly ghastly, an extended family of religious and homophobic cruel people. Even Eli‘s parents aren‘t much better. I wouldn‘t wish this family on anyone. The book ends far too soon, a HEA is definitely there, but I wanted more resolution and Dirty Jenga should be a thing.

A Christmas story that‘s very different

Talk about slow burn, this took 18 months of pining before the reveal. You have to believe Santa delivers toys to make this work, but at least the elves use tech now as well as a ‘bit‘ of magic. It‘s light and fun and a good HEA.

Bittersweet heartstring puller

So much pain, grief and guilt. An interfering manipulative sister in law doubles a father‘s misery. A near death drama reverses years of resentment, and a loving son ‘fixes‘ his dad. Some hysterically funny moments from an elderly PA bring a little light. A HEA could be on its way.

This should cheer you up

Took you long enough is a brilliant catch phrase, and it sums up a romance that was years in the making. Its small town humour is great, many funny moments, tragic backstory, but it all comes good eventually. The HEA wasn‘t what I assumed, I like being surprised.

Action packed FBI drama / love story combo

Full on thriller, that just stops, leaving you needing to read the next 2. Plenty of action, death, suffering, angst, anger, betrayal. Plus funny moments and a searing hot part near the end, the longing is almost painful. The bad guys are well organised, but are going down, hopefully.

Great romance story, with or without the sport.

I know next to nothing about diving as a sport, but that‘s completely unimportant to enjoy this. Plenty of lust, love and humour, a couple of nervous angsty moments. The expected part happened ‘off screen‘ so to speak, but it all leads to the perfect HFN, so whatever they do, wherever they end up, the HEA is in sight.

Romance with a plot and horrible back stories

Both main characters lost so much, both a bit broken, Judah may never recover, but are the perfect cure for each other‘s misery, leading to a great HEA. There‘s threat to life, misery and grief, angst, homophobia, bullying, unpleasant family dynamics. This balanced by lust, love, eventual proper communication and a satisfying outcome for many. All due to a cruel condition I‘d never heard of.

Great follow up book to The Art of Husbandry. The four main characters are all exes of two of the others! They all know each other, it‘s unusual and more than complicated, even though it works out. Another story that‘ll bring a lump to your throat. Also funny, steamy, angsty and another perfect HEA.

Action packed shifter madness

A lot of action is packed into this. An unusual wolf shifter / human cross over plus vampires, good guys and bad. Plus a lot of humour, mostly really dry, the best sort! Tragedy, much violence, longing, lusting and loving and a HEA.

Complex but memorable love story

The echoes of Lainey are throughout, torturing Max and urging him towards happiness. Jack suffers too, their joint experiences bring them together, once Max faces the truth and gives in. An emotional story, undeserved tragedy, unrequited love, longing, shocking revelations, lust and everlasting love. Thankfully there are lighter funny moments to make up for the sad bits. Your eyes will water, probably often.

16 years of regret is forgotten about really quickly.

Very angsty at first, and still many doubts before they actually start to communicate. Mind readers, they are not, and keep thinking the wrong things by not saying what they‘re thinking. Friends, coworkers, even Sam‘s boss know before they do. Some funny bits, and steam, lust and love with a HEA that wasn‘t supposed to happen.

Very emotional story. We barely meet Callie, but has a huge impact. This has tragedy, loss and sorrow, angst, then unexpected joy, laughter, lust and love. Some strange relationships develop that make the Miller Station crew into an interesting family with strong bonds. The solution to getting a HEA wasn‘t totally obvious until you read it, I only had an inkling how Holden and Gil had a future, but the resolution is perfect.

Crazy mix of shifters, fun read.

I didn‘t think an eagle - dolphin shifter story would be a good match, but I was wrong. This makes for a fun story, with several twists to the shifter genre. Plenty of humour, snark, slight angst, overwhelming lust and love, rock solid HEA.

I want to read the whole series now!

Very good start to a series, a pnr with a new take on alternative realities. There‘s a lot to take in for the ‘victim‘, accident or not, it‘s like fate played a part in Cass finding Justin. It‘s hot and steamy and full of risks and threat, possible violence, magic and a different type of shifter. You get drawn in and need to read more. Not your garden variety shape shifter story.

Not ex, no messing
Twenty years they thought their marriage was done with. When Laurie seeks Tucker, the reasons seem questionable. Weeks later, Laurie has won most of the town over, he convinces Tucker they were meant to be. Tension builds , lousy family, climactic legal battle and a fabulous HEA is the cherry on top. Angsty, hot and steamy, and funny. Again, the town of Granville‘s place names continue to be a source of constant humour😁.

A marriage fizzles out

Hard to finish, longer to read than expected. Nothing of note happens, a well documented year for nothing to happen. Arguments and apologies, a fling, disastrous financial decisions. A marriage ends, focusing on problems the wife suffers with. Tears and laughs, but not laugh out loud type. No HEA, maybe someday. There‘s probably something in here we‘ve all done at some time, hopefully NOT all of them!

Comedy/murder mystery/love story

This one will keep you guessing, twisted plot that‘s clever and will make you laugh. Lot of humour, lust and love, angsty and pain filled. Plus the added extra of an attempted murder and a successful one. Family dramas, irritatingly helpful friends and a great HEA.

A second chance at living, not just existing.

Jay nails what‘family‘ can be. Nice change to read about people that aren‘t in the 18-30 group. One is committed to never making a commitment, the other has no time for anyone other than family, It‘s a miracle they get together, perfect until Scott happened. It was hard to read, and made my eyes leak. Out of the wreckage comes a HEA and a bonus epilogueto download makes it even better.

Horrible back stories, a second chance of love fixes the pain.

Several separate tragic events combine for a complex story about terrible people. An incredible coincidence pushes two main characters together, as they find their HEA, but even that nearly gets derailed. “Emotional rollercoaster” is a much overused phrase, that‘s very appropriate. There‘s a lot of tears, laughs, love and steam.

Michael accidentally works out who he is, and who he wants

Sweet and hot from the beginning, but gets gradually more emotional at the end, as a HEA looms. With a couple of detours Michael gets from coping and straight, to happy with a man who is probably ‘the one‘. The writing style is fun, it‘s almost like seeing all the thoughts in someone‘s head, as they happen.

Unique and memorable love story

Getting killed just isn‘t a big enough obstacle for Neil to find his way back to Joshua, and technology helps iron out a 20 year age gap. This is a hauntingly beautiful love story I bought again, 3 years after deleting it😁

An AI that‘s a sentient being, in love with his human.

FFS, this was supposed to be a robot, and the more I read, the more I had a lump in my throat. What‘s wrong with me? Apart from the terror caused by corporate death threat, and a worrying court drama, it‘s really a love story, just one of them isn‘t biologically alive, but Michael is a living man in every other way, with the capacity to feel just like we do. Not a robot.

Angsty, fun read with many twists

Winning his last career race was all Cliff wanted, until suddenly, for complicated reasons, it wasn‘t. He finds the ‘one‘, loses him through another‘s betrayal, then marries for wrong reasons. A total chance meeting changes everything, then more and more plot twists until most of Cliff‘s hopes and dreams look shattered. The solution is unexpected and brilliant. I could see a HEA coming, just not one as perfect.

Great mix of doubt, passion and a possible murder

Gets off to a rocky start, lots of doubts, painful for Attie and Josh, an amicable divorce and a deranged would be murderer, all mix together to give a far from straightforward plot. Fun read with a good ending, and a not subtle hint of the next book😁

Odd mix of good/bad that‘s fun and sweet

There‘s a lot of references to the big white sky fairy, that for once, don‘t spoil the story. You end up feeling sorry for a demon, and wonder how this can end in anything except misery, but with a reveal or two, and a plot twist, there‘s a great HEA.

Animal Shifters, the + models.
Different take on animal shifters of all kinds. These are turbocharged. Several entirely new concepts make the story intriguing, the action throughout is turned up to full on, a satisfying love story runs right through it, a very funny bit at the end about giraffes, and a mostly happy ever after ending, and clearly there‘s room for many more stories about Cole and Tess, in ‘The League of Gallize Shifters series‘.

Tragedy, PTSD, and long and painful road to a HEA

Two friends, who‘ve known each years, both go through horrible experiences, though different, they are both equally suffering and broken. But they both understand what the other is going through, their long term attraction finally results in a HEA. Well written, it often caused me leaky eyes, but the end made it worth it.

A series of improbable events

There‘s a kinda HEA, but not the normal type, there‘s so many unlikely things happening in a sequence you could never predict, and Hell and Hell version 2.0 don‘t exactly get what they expect. It‘s a bit funny, weird, sad, happy, odd. Not quite the ending I was promised at the start, but everything should work out eventually.

I Had to try to like this, think it‘s aimed at the over ten year olds market, yet had adult references many would miss. It‘s inconsistent, even with a suggestion to consider the characters as adults with animal traits, they also ARE animals. Why is a fox scared of a sheep, how can a bird pick up a glass bottle, they all speak perfect English, and are all the same size. They have feathers, fur, and no opposable thumbs. The style very YA

11 year murder mystery to solve

The second in the shady hollow series, it gets easier to forget they are all animals, this has more of a mystery to work out, and long overdue justice is finally served. Joe learns where is wife is, and why, Vera learns to trust Orville. Better than book one, or I‘ve got better at ignoring obvious problems.

Two horrible situations, one happy resolution

Despite being a D.I. , Pete is brought to his knees by a vindictive, cheating, almost ex wife, that uses his son as a weapon. A life-threatening event forces these two almost strangers to rethink everything, and they really deserve the HEA they get.

Another explosive Tom Keeler romp.

Tom keeper is a one man army. The death toll in just a few days just keeps going up, though they all deserve it. Action thriller seems to barely cover the description. It‘s kinda full on from the start. I couldn‘t stop reading. Would make a great film, mission impossible and the bourne films would look tame compared to this. I would have like him to stick around longer, and see what happened to the money.

Love and passion that was completely unexpected by both!

Curious pace, you could think it‘s slow burn, but most of Trent‘s lightbulb moments took less than a week, and wow, does he go all in. There‘s also a bit of mystery, detective work and some violence, some undeserved and some that‘s very satisfying. Some of the characters from First Kiss - book 1, and Instant Desire - book 2 feature, which adds something to the story.

Instant, yet took ages

It took a while for Sean to finally accept not everyone was going to leave him, his past had damaged him a bit, and there was certainly pain in Asher‘s history. Oddly easy to read, considering some of the grisly subject matter. I read ‘Hunter‘ first, this is a great follow up book, Luis and Donovon are a complicated couple, and don‘t make life easy for themselves for most of the story, thankfully common sense prevails in the end.

Partly predictable, partly chaotic, Trent‘s plan to stay away from humans gets rapidly scrapped, Hailey is a force of nature hard to ignore.
