Pickpick

The book literally started with a bang and moved along a tight plot with a breathtaking pace. Although it takes place in an SF universe, it also reads as a political thriller. Patty Jansen has done a good job with the description of the different races in the book. It was fun to see that the Nations of Earth headquarters were located in Rotterdam. I grew up in that neighborhood.

Watership Down | Richard Adams

Richard Adams, author of Watership Down, died this Christmas Eve. Watership Down is one of those books that I'll never forget, even though it has been a long time ago since I read the book and saw the movie. Such a powerful story with so much depth and meaning!

Architect of quantum theories, brash young group leader on the atomic bomb project, inventor of the ubiquitous Feynman diagram, ebullient bongo player and storyteller, Richard Phillips Feynman was the most brilliant, iconoclastic, and influential physicist of modern times.
