I binge read this one; my first all nighter in years. Excellent story that really tugs on the heartstrings. While reading, I was annoyed with some of the characterizations (too brash, too harsh) but at the end, it made them more real as characters. A few tears!! (Kitty could care less.)

"I was so furious, you see, that all around me were things that could move and bend and grow and reproduce, and my son -- my vital, charismatic, beautiful boy -- was just this thing."

Just started reading this one. Kitty is not impressed and jumped in the way.
