Excited to finally read The Turner House!

I wanted to like this novel set during the Norman invasion of England. The author's dedication to creating a "shadow" of old English was intriguing, but I found it ultimately off putting.

Took me a while to warm to this reframing of Pride & Prejudice but ended up enjoying it. Sittenfeld did a great job capturing the humor and nuanced observation of the original, with a freshness that reflects contemporary dating.
