In the epilogue of this book GRRM writes that the devil is in the details. And it's those immersive details that make you dream.. about the castles and the inns, the knights and the knaves, the weird and the wonderful. The rich lore attached to every place, every person is the soul that brings this world to life.

Ayn Rand is brilliant as a writer with metaphors that would make you empathise with metals. She lucidly expresses complex ideas & emotions of the characters. This book is an intellectual challenge.

In spite of this, the book was not a pleasant read. The insistent hammering of her philosophy makes this book overwrought and almost tiring to read. The story is predictable. The characters are too antithetical.
