The book was a wonderful telling of a tragic life, Jeannette had to endure through countless hardships and eventually came out on top, it recounts her journey from early childhood to the present. If you like books that tackle themes of growing up and are memoirs then you‘ll love Glass Castle. The POV of the novel is first person, this is established by Jeannette talking about her emotions at the time of the scenes instead of when she‘s an adult.

So far into the book, which is about halfway, the Walls family has endured through many instances of having to drop everything and leave their current residence. At one point they stayed in a place for a long time, like half a year, before Jeannette had trouble with a boy and an interaction with the police caused them to flee.

i still haven‘t finished this book but it is still one of my favorite pieces of literature i‘ve read, it‘s action packed and the characters are all really well written, even the side characters. If you like books with lots of action and some essence of politics then this is a great book for you.
