This book was amazing. I always have a high standard going into a retelling, and the original Wizard of Oz was one of my childhood favourites. However, this book even exceeded my expectations! I loved the main character, and the development of the story was great. The only thing is that the ending came a little too sudden for me, and felt a little rushed. But that just gives me all the more reasons to pick up book number 2.
