This book is riveting - the author really transports you into the fascinating, hauntingly beautiful, and tragically melancholy Chinese afterlife, with its intertwining Buddhist, Taoist, and folk belief influences. It is reminiscent of Spirited Away, the heartbreakingly lovely Hayao Miyazaki / Studio Ghibli film. I loved this book, it made me think and contemplate and dream for days after.

Hilarious, heartbreaking and beautiful. This book had me fully captivated, laughing out loud, and crying with genuine emotional upheaval as I read it. Brilliantly written and powerfully relevant, this book is a voice for all women. I highly recommend anyone who has ever considered themselves a Feminist, and ESPECIALLY those who have not, to read it.

Beautiful, modern, progressive, and inclusive introduction to Goddess Spirituality and the Divine Feminine. This book is necessary and powerful. Any who would like to experiment with, learn about, or start journeying upon the paths of Paganism and/or magical craft should read this.

A beautifully articulate and well explained beginner's guide to the art of Astrology. Poetic and lyrical, each planet, sign, and house is explained with a respectful, intricate amount of detail - and yet, the book never feels overbearing. Destroys assumptions made by pop-culture close-mindedness.
