I love Rainbow Rowell. But I wasn't really convinced I wanted this book. So my friend bought it for me, knowing I'd feel guilty if I didn't at least TRY to read it. I'm 39 pages in & I'm intrigued. It's a little Harry Potter-y, but dare I say better? We'll see...

chockybooky I'm kind of taking my time with this book, but finally hit the moment where things should start to speed forward. Also, this book benefits from being read aloud. So that's what I'm doing. 7y

This was a Christmas gift from my sister. I can't leave the coloring book alone. The illustrations are great. You want to color them over & over. I use art pencils & my fingers are killing me from constantly sharpening the pencils. But it hasn't stopped me yet! GREAT. GIFT.

Okay...I don't think I'm a great reviewer. Mostly because I hate telling the same story over and over, even when I like the story. But here goes:
Imagine Sherlock Holmes is actually some kind of magical stranger-slash-warlock. In Victorian London. And magic shenanigans are happening everywhere. John Watson is the only one who uses deductive reasoning, while Holmes drinks poison & bashes magical baddies. It's delightful & clever, and I loved it.

I got strongarmed into participating in some lame book pyramid scheme thing, but couldn't find the book I was going to force someone else to read...so I bought this book for me instead. Love. It. I can't wait to get back to it!

chockybooky This book is so familiar to me. Not because I've read it before, or that anything's plagiarized, but it's so...it's like the author said, "I love Benedict Cumberbatch, but I'd love him more if he were some weird-yet-endearing sorcerer. Yes. I will write that book." So clever, funny, and there's a little sweet thrown in. I'm almost finished, and that makes me sad. 7y

My father is so cute. He deals with bouts of insomnia, and he combats it with books, for which I'm grateful. Because he always tells me the plot of whatever he read, and Stuart Woods is who he reads right now. I almost want to read this book, Dad described it so well!

While I love a "real" book, being able to read from a tablet or my phone can be a real luxury....starting a new Regency romance today!

chockybooky I have read exactly ten pages. I know it's there, waiting for me...but I'm fine with letting it wait. 7y
