Mr. Ferrante has written one of the best Mafia histories ever. He details the beginnings from ancient times up to the 1950‘s. He also corrects many of the legends that so many writers have gotten wrong over years of telling and re-telling. His insiders knowledge along with the occasional wiseguy/wiseass comments make this a most enjoyable read. My library contains 50-60 books on organized crime and none are as well-written/fun to read as Borgata.

Mr. Kittrell has written an superb book about WW 2 naval aviation. The personal stories are very moving, heartfelt and sometimes quite emotional. The sacrifices these men made, along with the pride, fear, and,quite often, agony their families suffered, comes through most vividly. Mr. Kittrell has produced a magnificent work here. It is an outstanding account of the Blue Raiders and I most highly recommend it.
