I bought this book from the man himself after touring Tuol Sleng prison when I was in Cambodia last year. Meeting someone who actually lived through that hell was a very humbling, sobering experience, and so was reading this book.
Reread this new edition about ten years after reading the original, and it's still as thrilling and tension-filled as the first time. The commentary on Philippine beaurocracy and society and the Church is still very relevant and relatable. Can't wait for the movie.
