The Wife: A Novel | Alafair Burke
Pickpick

I am a little over half way done the book and at this point we know that Rachel Sutton has accused Jason Powell of sexually harassing her at work. She is one of the interns working age Jason‘s fern. Jason was put on a talk show of one of there close friends after the police report was posted to the world and the cohost interrogated him on live television. Another one of Jason‘s friends is a lawyer and knew a good defence attorney to help him.

MissYaremcio Thank you for the review Emma. I was missing the POV, the recommendation and the photo. 2/6 3y

I have not finished this book yet I haven‘t gotten very far into however it is fairly good as far as I‘ve read. I haven‘t made it to the good part yet. This novel is about a girl who had a child very young and the father of that child passed away and she met a man her now husband Jason Powell who is a very successful and wealthy man. A college student interning at Jason‘s office had reported him for sexual allegations against him.

MissYaremcio Thank you for the review Emma! I just was missing the theme. 4/6 3y

Now that I have read the entire book I can say that the ending is amazing and sad. We find out that one of the main characters is sick with cancer. This event bring out a lot of emotions in the rest of the characters surround her. This story is written in first person. The theme of this story is family and friends. These two families spend the entire summer together and they classify each other as family. They take care and look out for each other

MissYaremcio Thank you for the review and email Emma! I was just missing a bit of the explanation to the POV and your recommendation! 4/6 4y

This novel talks about a teenage girl and her family travelling up to cousins beach every summer to visit her and her brothers mom‘s best friend. Susannah had two boys Conrad and Jeremiah. Belly and Jeremiah are closer in age so they are closer friends and Steven and Conrad are closer in age and closer friends however Conrad prefers to be alone. Even though I haven‘t quite finished this novel I feel like it‘s is one of the few books I will finish

MissYaremcio Great work Emma! Thank you for sending me the photo! I was just missing the theme and the explanation of the theme! 4/6 4y
