Confront the world with love?
"Never be afraid to sit a while and think" - Lorraine Hansberry

The Poisonwood Bible | Barbara Kingsolver

My little beast, my eyes, my favorite stolen egg. Listen. To live is to be marked. To live is to change, to acquire the words of a story, and that is the only celebration we mortals really know. In perfect stillness, frankly, I've only found sorrow.

Pickpick

This was another school read, but I actually really loved this book. I really don't know how to describe it other then everyone should read this book. The different perspectives were all so beautiful and unique it truly felt like 4 different authors. Reality was a big factor in this book. Not American reality, or even just Congo reality, but the tragedy that links them and the truths of life that happen no matter where you go or who you are.

It is true that I do not speak as well as I can think. But that is true of most people, as nearly as I can tell.

I'm sad that this wonderful book series that I have been following for so long is over. But all stories must come to an end eventually, and I can't complain with the result of this one. So glad to have been apart of this world and I will treasure it forever. Thank you Chris Colfer for giving the real magic of good stories and creating such important characters. I will be revisiting this one for a long time.

Loved this quote in "The Prince"?
I think I'm going to use it as a caption for back to school?

This was a read for school.. I'm definitely glad that I read it! But I also definitely would never have read it by my own free will. Sometimes Machiavelli is a genius and sometimes he's just a bit soulless. If you're into politics then this book is for you!

Dorothy Must Die | Danielle Paige

Finished "Dorothy Must Die" a few days ago and I must say I wasn't super impressed. The only reason I read it was because it's been sitting on my shelf for quite a while now and I didn't want to leave it unread. It was just pretty average YA for me but I can see why maybe others enjoyed it. One thing I can say for it is that Amy's hatred for her home town was really relatable. Although I don't think I will be reading the second book...

Silver Pencil | Alice Dalgliesh

Just finished "The Silver Pencil" by Alice Dalgliesh and really enjoyed the read! ? thought I'd share my favorite quotes from it:
"One couldn't just sit in a library indefinitely and stare"

"The whole trouble is you have no confidence in yourself. You've got to find that, somehow, because you'll never be any good until you do"

"She had a habit of thinking things like that, of crossing bridges before she came to them"
