10 Blind Dates | Ashley Elston

Tone & Mood
“ Is there no privacy at all in this family ?!“ The tone that the main character has in this line is attitude and anger because of her family trying to be in her business as far as her love life and anger because shes going through the motions or stages of a heartbreak while all of this is happening .

The title of “ 10 BLIND DATES “ is an allusion to a normal saying blind date which means no knowing who your going on a date with . The author uses this allusion to foreshadow basically what the character will go through in the story .

TheMrsShaw I will give you credit for this, but remember that an allusion is a reference to another work of art or pop culture. An example would be how the title of “The Sound and the Fury“ by William Faulkner is an allusion to a Shakespeare line from Macbeth that says life “is a tale/Told by an idiot/Full of sound and fury/Signifying nothing.“ 2y

The meaning of blind is you can't see anything at all . That is the denotation of blind. The way it is used in the context of the book title the connotation means that they don't know who they're about to go on a blind date with .
