'No, thank you,' I said. 'I don't want to accept a drink from you, because then I would be obliged to purchase one for you in return, and I'm afraid I'm simply not interested in spending two drinks worth of time with you.'
Bought this book for a friend for Christmas without reading it myself - thought it was about time to get stuck in!
Today I found an award-winning book I've never heard of at a friend's house... Barely 300 pages so a short but hopefully sweet read.
This was one of the more enjoyable Liane Moriarty books I've read recently. The "twists" were revealed slowly and weren't as immediately obvious as some of her other work. Her discussion of memories and how our relationships change over time was interesting, but some of the sub-plots seemed forced and unnecessary. I would still recommend to Moriarty fans and casual readers.
Starting my 2019 goal to read 52 books this year with a light Liane Moriarty read.
