A woman with a traumatic past must contend with an upheavel of her entire life when her popular and wealthy husband is accessed of sexual assault. An interesting look into the lengths you will go to protect not just your loved ones and your life but also yourself, even if you aren't the good guy. An intriguing ending that I'm not sure quite fits with the build up but still kept me wanting to know the ending. Audiobook: the narrator was okay.

A tragic, timeless and beautiful story. The depthless humanity Miller brings to her myriad of characters, even the most cold of gods, makes her stories so engaging. Circe herself was ruthless, cunning, lonely, passionate, deeply flawed, desperate for so many godly and mortal things. Centuries of the world pass through Circe's life, her mindless routine, her harrowing triumphs and devastating mistakes. It is truly a journey worthy of the classics.

I haven't had uninterrupted time to read in a long time. So that has been my morning, between a nap and some pool time. If only I could do this forever 🌞

Obviously the most important part of packing for a trip. Hoping to catch up on some long overdue reading while down in Palm Springs 😎🌴

This was a quick, entertaining read that had a couple turns that were unexpected. But I wasn't shocked or overly enthralled. Maybe I'm just not made out for this type of genre but I had little empathy for the characters and I didn't feel invested beyond finding out what happened. I don't regret reading it but I wouldn't reread it.
