I love PK Dick. This was a reread, in anticipation of the Amazon series.

The I-Ching plays a central role in the characters' decision making and conduct. I just found out, too, that Dick used it to decide major plot / them points in the novel. Wild stuff.

Fascinating & well-written: it examines the broader cultural and political landscape while telling Rockefeller's story. He makes a compelling case that Rockefeller was killed and eaten a part of the Asmat's ritual war/cannibalism.

The Mind's Eye | Oliver Sacks
Pickpick

5/5

I'm obsessively (re)reading Oliver Sacks' books and articles. His warmth and compassion shine in this volume; his recollections made especially intimate by the inclusion of his own experience with melanoma and vision loss.
