Media Specialist asked me to read this with her... took me a while to start it. WOW I couldn‘t put it down!!! I highly recommend. Definitely not appropriate for my middle schoolers - it‘s deeper than they could comprehend at this point in their lives.

I had this book for a few months before I finally got around to reading it (thank you COVID). Hands down the best way for me to become a Michelle Obama fan. I loved learning about her childhood and her path as a career driven woman, wife, and mother.

This book was a great look at historical fiction during the Revolutionary War. The POV is from a 13 year old, slave with a great story to tell. Ready to finish the sequel, Forge!
