This book grabbed me and never let go. I found myself anxious to get back to it when I stopped reading and finished it as quickly as I could, in a good way.
The narrative pulled me in and was incredibly well written. I'm looking forward to reading more of Dionne's work.
Excellent book for my kids who can't seem to behave at dinner. They liked the repitition, I liked the points about manners. Win - win!
We liked it. Good story with a touching moral.
This book would have been so easy to read I a single sitting, had I not had other things to do! As it was, it didn't take many sittings as I found myself reading at an alarming speed.
Once again, Caitlin Hendrix is on the trail on an unsub, this time through nearly every imaginable backdrop. The book was well written and unsettling, terrifying and fast paced in the way thrillers should be.
We lead our lives often never knowing the story of those right next to us. "Hunger" was a deeply moving memoir that occasionally struck a little to close to home, too close to a nerve I didn't want to pay attention to. It also stung to know that I have looked at others through my own filters of life and pain while often ignoring the same in theirs.
I found myself wanting to share pieces of it with others so they would "get me" or "see what I see."
I liked it but didn't. there were so many characters and narratives I found myself wondering "who is this again" on several occasions. Each character played their part well but I feel as though I didn't get to really know any of them in depth as much as it's like to.
This one sat on my shelf for a while before being read, and I did actually enjoy the story, just not the style of composition.
