Here are my favorite books of 2017 so far. The two non-fiction are fantastic looks at different aspects of science. I Contain Multitudes is a look at how microbes effect every aspect of our daily life and the environment. Lab Girl is a look into the making of a scientist, what hardship being in academia brings, and unending friendship.

The historical fiction, Nightingale, is a haunting story of what life was like for two sisters during WWII.
