The World That We Knew | Alice Hoffman

Has anyone had to stop reading a book because the of the author's style of writing? I like the plot and the story so far, but I'm getting annoyed/bored with her word choice and descriptions.

I just started it, but I'm honestly thinking about putting it back and starting something else. Anyone ever face this dilemma?

rjsthumbelina I've definitely had that happen. Personally, Alice Hoffman is one of my favorites, but her writing can be very flower-y and almost like poetry. I can see how she wouldn't appeal to everyone. If you're not vibing with it, read something else! Life's too short 🤷‍♀️ 3y

Be Wild, Be Free | Amber Fossey

I got this book when I needed help remembering how to smile, stuck in my head. Now it's a stable beside my bed. Anyone else have a book they have as a go to for when life is too much?

Ignore this if I'm doing it wrong... First post here:

Kidd's book I am reading really focuses on historical religious figures and I got curious about how different priests, ministers, and such would think about such a book, so I wanted to run an idea by people...

What do you guys think about my asking religious leaders around me to read the book and interview them about what they think in regards to the similarities and differences?

Should I?

Come-read-with-me It sounds like an intriguing idea! Good luck! 4y
