All the purple for my first purple book
🙌🏻
This was such a magical read. Even though it is over 40 years old, it has aged really well and I'm grateful that the publishers allowed me to have a copy of the latest reprint for review 🙌🏻
As a white girl in England, I am too inadvertently privileged and incredibly far removed from the Black Lives Matter (although I would like to think I am reasonably aware of the cause - I hate calling it that because it is a right - via social media). I am 100 pages in and have already angry cried. Especially after the recent injustice with Phillando Castille and Charleena Lyles today.
I am in the UK, but I am with you.
Really unpopular opinion but I didn't like this book. Honestly, the only reason I finished reading it was because of the sheer amount of time that I have dedicated to the series so far... and then Maas goes and adds a novella on a character I can't stand meaning the finale is pushed back. Ta, mate.
All over the cover art and Susan Dennard's writing but the sequel was a bit of a let down for me 🙊 definitely reading further in the series though. She is the nicest author as well which works in her favour!
