I picked up this book having been told it was good, but what I read blew me away! Ciara was a complex heroine who drew me in and I loved this book from the first to the last page! This gets a full Five Stars from me for weaving a dynamic take on both Celtic and Viking culture and mythology!

With how much hype this book got I was worried to read it, however right from the beginning it pulled me in. Every twist and turn was so unexpected that I was thoroughly enthralled. Black's writing style was so gripping and compelling that I could not put this book down!

As dark, exciting and gripping as the first. Continues to be unique and thrilling with the same feel good and intense romance between the lead characters. Definitely a feel good read with a very satisfying end!

It was a good read, had lots of action and was a very unique premise. The romance is quick to be established and makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. More a slow burn and easy to read.

There are very few books that I feel have haunted me the way this one did. The journey with Cass took me on a rollercoaster of emotion and the ideas put forward in this book had me really thinking when I was done. I had such a hard time putting it down, I just needed to know what happened next!
